2006 Celestyna Brozek magna cum laude Celestyna's immediate plans include loads of celebrations. Her longer range goals include working, traveling and pursuing further studies. * Lance E. Edens magna cum laude and with Departmental Honors Lance is planning to gain research experience with UNMs post-baccalaureat Research and Eduction Program (Chemistry Dept) during the coming year, after which he will continue with graduate work in astronomy. * Adam M. Johnson Adam plans to attend grad school at UCLA for either geology or geophysics next year.	2005 Adam K. Norman Adam will attend CatTech beginning in fall 2005. He has received an institutional fellowship which will allow him to complete a one-year master's program in the Graduate Aeronautics Laboratory, after which he plans to continue working toward a Ph.D. Chondra will be working for an adoption agency, mediating between the adopting parents and the children who need them. * Holly C. Rodecap Holly will pursue a master’s degree in secondary education with certification through the UNM college of education starting in fall 2005. She will seek a double endorsement in Science and Mathematics, and would like to teach at the high school level. * Geno J. Santistevan *** Samuel J. Slagle Sam is taking the summer off, and will start grad school here in the fall (May 2005).	2004 Amanda J. Burghard magna cum laude Amanda has joined the graduate physics program at UCLA (2004). * Evan Kias Evan is an RA with the Civil Eng'g Department here at UNM (fall 2006). * Anah Mourant magna cum laude Anah and her husband have moved to NYC, and she attends Stevens Institute of Technology in nearby Hoboken, NJ. * Mason Parsons Mason - High Desert Pipes and Drums * Michael Sepulveda Michael graduated in December. He is still working at Lodestar (NM Museum), and putting together all of the grad school application materials.	2003 Scott J. Beatty Scott has joined Nikon Precision, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of lithographic equipment for the semiconductor industry. He is an Applications Engineer at the Los Ranchos site. * Fatima Benaissa Fatima has been gaining teaching experience with the JET Program, and is now applying to secondary education graduate programs (Dec. 2005). * Devon R. Hjelm Devon has joined our graduate program (fall 04).
2002 Cindi L. Ballard Cindi has been inducted as a lifetime member of Sigma Pi Sigma. She and her husband, Perry, have relocated to Houston (fall 2002), where Cindi has enrolled in graduate studies at the University of Houston. She would like to be involved with research in Cosmic Background Radiation. * Mark A. Harris Mark is a Student Technical Specialist with UNMs Civil Engineering Administration. * Syd B. Partridge Syd was inducted as a lifetime member of Kappa Mu Epsilon, the Mathematics Honor Society. He worked for more than a year for MITs Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) site as an observer, after which he attended SUNY-Stonybrook. He has been involved in quantum informationand optics research as a student intern with the Quantum Key Distribution Group at LANL. He is switching gears this fall (2006), however, because he has been accepted to an interdisciplinary program that is focused on climate change science and policy at Columbia University's Earth Institute at NYC. Syd has been involved with the Students for Clean Energy here at UNM for quite some time. He'll be an RA with the International Research Institute for Climate and Society at Columbia. *** Katherine A. Smith Kate has been inducted as a lifetime member of both Sigma Pi Sigma and Kappa Mu Epsilon. During her last semester here at UNM, she defended an honors thesis entitled "Weak Lensing Results for Galaxy Cluster Abell 781." Kate deferred graduate school in order to study Cosmic Microwave Background at the Australia Telescope National Facility in Sydney, Australia, and then headed east in fall 2003 to begin a graduate program of studies at Case Western Reserve. She has passed the qualifying exams and is now (fall 2004) working with Prof. Lawrence Krauss.	2001 Sybil Adams Observational Systems Support Associate with Gemini Southern Operations. * Raquel Fraga-Encinas grad studies at the Univ of Maryland * Jerod Gomez planning to relocate to Las Vegas, NV * Dale C. Jackson grad studies at the Univ of Minnesota * Ryan E. Johnson telescope operator at VLA * Cristina Murray-Krezan Cristina earned a master's degree in statistics, w/ emphasis on astrostatistics (2006), at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and is now doing research in applied demography for a group that calculates official population estimates and statistics for the State of Virginia. He will now attend Navy Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC, in preparation to becoming a Naval Submarine Officer. * Erin I. Husher Erin plans to do some traveling, possibly relocating, and she foresees an as-yet unidentified graduate program in her future. * Lonika Majithia magna cum laude Lonika double-majored in Biology, and she is now waiting to hear from the medical school to which she has applied.	2005 Jason Degani Jason has been accepted to the UNM Med School and will start classes in the fall. He plans to become a pediatric surgeon.	2004 Aaron A. Cabral Aaron earned minors in Electical Engineering and Mathematics, is a member of Kappa Mu Epsilon, the national math honor society, and now he is an accomplished DJ and business owner. He has also been admitted to the APS temp teachers pool (fall 05). *** Daniel P. Estes Daniel has been a student intern at Sandia Nat'l Lab for a couple of years, and he wants to continue the work in arms control. Law school is also part of his long-range plan.	2003 Jose M. Diaz Jose completed the PandA program in May 2003. * Matthew Flint Kepler Matt graduated in December, and is with Boeing SVS working on laser radar systems. * Bernadette Mendoza-Spencer Bernadette completed her double major (Math and PandA) in December '03, and begins a graduate program in pure math across the street in January. * Robert P. Reese Bob has been a nuclear-related technician since '83 (US Navy Nuke), and with Sandia since 1990. * Molly Samsell Molly is now teaching Physics, Math, and Photography at St. Michael's Academy in Bryan-College Station, Texas. She's also a volunteer DJ at the community radio station (Dec. 2004). * Carl L. Smith Carl and his wife had their first child in August 2004. He's an adaptive optics technician at Boeing's Starfire Optical Range. * Philip K. Watje Philip is now pursuing a master's degree here at UNM in Secondary Education - he plans to teach high school Physics.
2002 Angela M. Richman Angie is now with the National Park Service at Pecos National Historical Park. Her duties include night-sky education, and she is also involved in a nation- wide project to fight light pollution in the national parks. She plans to work for the Park Service for a while before applying to graduate programs in Astronomy Education. Meanwhile, she will take it easy and travel when she can afford to do so. 2001 Drichelle Lynn Estill	2000 Xavier S. Elizondo Phoenix, AZ * Kathryn E. Fisher Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory * Greg Golden Greg became a research engineer of NTUF (Center for Nanotechnology at the University of Washington) in 2000. His expertise includes scanning electron microscopes, Electron Beam Lithography (EBL), and soft lithography. Greg provides training on SEM, EDAX and EBL and performs contract work for remote users. *** Jesse L.
