Chad has been with JILA (CU and NIST project) at UC-Boulder, but the Hoyt family will relocate (fall 2006) to St. Paul, MN, for his assistant professorship w/ Bethel University.

Immediately following her dissertation defense, Xianmei moved to Newbury, MA, to join her husband.

Paul Dan Popescu
Dan was in British Columbia for a year, and is now heading for Winnipeg, where he will be a Visiting Fellow at the National Research Council, Institute of Biodiagnostics (May '05).


Christian Schwarz
Christian relocated to Albany, NY (fall '03), where he joined Infineon (now Qimonda), a German-owned semiconductor company, as Sr. Engineer-Lithography. He and Nancy welcomed the beautiful Marianna Isabel (7 lbs. 10 oz.) on May 4, 2005, and are expecting their second child in late-October 2006.

Lt. Col. Alley has relocated to Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio (Dec 2004). He is now an Asst Professor of Physics at the Air Force Institute of Technology, teaching optics and lasers,

Matthew Bohn
May 2006 - Matthew is  now a Lt. Col. and an Assistant Professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, OH. He's doing research on femtosecond lasers, terahertz radiation, and ultrafast semicondutors.

Dec. 2000 - Maj. Bohn was assigned to the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute of Technical Physics in Stuttgart. His previous faculty posting was in mathematics at the Air Force Academy.
