U.S.
Department of Education.
The grant supports undergraduate students'
scholarly
activities throughout
the academic year and summer.
Students
participating in
the program are required to spend classroom time
on the
research project,
meet regularly with the program advisor, attend
workshops,
lectures and
meetings, and visit other university campuses.
In addition,
students must
complete a summer research project, present a
written
abstract and an
oral presentation, and submit a final research paper
reflecting the
time spent
on the project (10-15 pages).
