| Spring 2002 | Daniel Finley |
We will have Three Exams during the semester, in addition to the Final Exam discussed more below. Each exam takes all of 1 class period. (The dates are marked on the syllabus.)
Some exam questions will involve qualitative decisions about
how physical systems work; some will require numerical answers.
Some exam questions will be multiple choice; some will require you to
show your work as you go through the details of the problem.
A collection of relevant equations will be handed
out just prior to each Exam.
You are allowed to bring with you both that collection of
equations, and ANY single sheet of paper of your
own writing that you would like.
On later exams, you may also bring with you the appropriate
pieces of paper from earlier exams.
When the exams are returned, the solutions may be accessed from a link at the bottom of the appropriate homework assignment webpages.
Because the lowest exam grade will be dropped, and because of the curving of grades, there will be NO make up examinations.
The Final Exam is compulsory, and occurs
during Finals Week,
in our regular Classroom. Exact date and
time are noted at the bottom of
the Syllabus.
The final will be cumulative and comprehensive, but will have
approximately half of its questions concerned with material covered
since the last regular exam.
