Inventoried Equipment Procedures

All items bearing a UNM tag with a number are the property of The University of New Mexico and the State of New Mexico and all laws and rules regarding State Property prevail. There are several different types of tags, generally either red or green as the major color, from paper and plastic to metal.

All property bearing these tags is tracked by the Department of Physics and Astronomy annually, usually in the fall of each year around September to November.

All these items must be kept on campus, or have a standard property "Check-out" form filled out, turned in to the department and the proper auditing authorities, and updated every year.

"Check-out's" may only be used by current, active, Faculty or Staff employees of the university.
