Physics 161L laboratory includes Thermodynamics and Visual E&M. Visual E&M is a one semester, paperless laboratory introduction to Electricity and Magnetism. On screen exercises are linked to LabVIEW VIs (virtual instruments) for data entry, display and analysis. Communication, team work and critical thinking are enhanced in cooperative learning groups. Ample time for team and class discussion highlight each lab exercise.
